Question!!! *waves hands desperately*

Basically you'll see the + and – signs at the top-right corner of every post (besides your own obviously). Other members can click one of the two and give you green or red, which is a bonus to your reputation.

It really serves no purpose, not any true purpose anyway. It has no bearing on where you're allowed to post, or what people truly think of you. It's a post-by-post basis. On most forums anyway, it's used as a joke. On the few vBulliten forums I've been to, I get negative reputation all the time just as a way of joking around, but I get a lot more positive reputation.

Basically if you see something you really like, the reputation is there so you don't have to make a new post saying "I agree!" or "Great post!" since that could be considered spam. Just click the + sign. People will do the same for your posts. Also, in most cases it's anonymous, and God knows we can't have enough anonymity on the Internet.

That's just going off of what I know mostly from other forums, so FLOL might differ a bit. But hopefully that helps.

All rep in anymous here. It's just a way of showing approval or disapproval of a post. There's not usually much bad rep around here, since we're generally here for the same thing.

I think you'll eventually get the ability to rep after a certain amount of posts. Not sure how much though.

I'm not an expert with this stuff, but are you guys sure you're not looking at just your posts? Because they won't be there on your posts, but they should be for everyone else's. Unless there is a certain number of posts you need before you can rep, like Nocturne suggested, but that just seems... odd.

I'm pretty sure there's a post cap, because I experienced the same thing, then one day was magically able to rep people. Perhaps it's Quincy level and up that are able to rep. Besides, Kerozinn did a sreencap of Jared's post and it didn't show up.

You have to have a minimum of 57 posts to start repping people.

I'll put up a guide to repping and thanks. Maybe just a general FAQ thread?

And just to let you guys know, neg-reps don't take points away from the poster...this is due to trolls from other fandom's signing up just to neg-rep users here. The red will still appear, but it will not deduct points.
