Today I've noticed that when I quote people the quoted text has slashmarks inserted everywhere. Software bug?

I'm not having that problem, so could you screen cap it for me, sheetz?

Or if you can't, if anyone else who is having this problem, could you please do it? You just need to press you "Prt Sc Sys Rq" button, and then "paste" it into a graphic editing program...save it, and upload it to tinypic or photobucket and then post the link to it here.

Well, it happened when I quoted my translation to the OP of the spoiler thread.

ETA: Looks like it adds a slash before quotation marks and apostrophes.

Well, I quoted the translation again and replaced the one in the OP and now it looks ok. Weird.

That happened to me before as well, Sheetz. I had to re-edit an entire post (it was a script, either in the scanlation group or somewhere else) to correct it.

Lady O, it's happened to me before too, but I think it's only when you're working with Japanese text (well in my case I was quoting the script or something). Figured it's just a glitch with the board.

It may have something to do with the language packs that come in with the board. I've had problems cutting and pasting Japanese text in the quick reply. It ends up giving me an alphanumeric code instead of kana. It could just be confusing certain elements when switching languages.

It could be a combination of quirks with the bbcode too. I had to fix a few posts the other day that made a thread look strange. All it was was improper nesting of bbcode like this: [ spoiler ][ img ]imgurl[ /spoiler ][ /img ]. That's obviously not the problem here, but there's just those little glitches that end up making things look strange.
