EternalDream's mini RUKIA WILL BECOME AN ICHIHIME MATCHMAKER manifesto!!! It wasn't supposed to turn into one, but it did.

So I've been thinking about this for a while, and I'd like to share my thoughts with all of you. (And you better appreciate it because I slaved looking for the right pictures!!!) Like I said, this wasn't even supposed to be that long...but then I kept remembing all these other details and I thought what the heck, might as well throw everything together! ^_^

I guess I should start off with the most basic stuff.

1) I just like this picture because it helps to represent what I love about thier BFF-ness^^ Lol, going off to kick some hollow butt!

2) It was hilarious how Rukia was accepted into Ichigo's household so easily (especially after that sob story she gave XD). It's clear that Rukia's like an older sister to Ichigo (or a cousin at least). So I've always loved what Rukia calls Ichigo's dad:

3) We know Rukia will become Ichigo and Orihime's matchmaker. It was predicted long before Bleach (in the pilot, baby!) and perhaps from this chapter picture, which I thought was interesting.

The side text says this: "Running and Running. To find you, to find the words to say to you. And to find the bond that connects us, we keep running and running."

The interesting part is that it has Ichigo and Orihime, with Rukia in between them. And then, but 18 chapters later, Matsumoto tells Orihime that Ichigo needs both girls with him. ^_^ (BFF and Girlfriend. Whooh!) Another pointer for this is that Rukia's two human BFFs are Ichigo and Orihime. Hee^^


4) These go with what I'll be saying in #6. It's pretty obvious that Orihime has a crush on Ichigo, and Rukia definately knows about it. This is also about how I think Rukia feels about/sees IchiHime^^

These were the scenes that pretty much tell you that Rukia has always KNOWN about Orihime.

I've always loved Rukia's reaction to Karin's "Orihime level girl" comment. Obviously, since Ichigo heard it (and reacted violently to it XD) Rukia heard it as well. And she was all happy and smiles afterward, loving how goofy Ichigo's family is. She wasn't offended at all. I'll bet she agreed with the Ichigo x Orihime context of it. At least, that's how I've always felt^^

I adore how Rukia wasn't even bothered by Orihime being the first to see Ichigo during his training with the Vizards (when everyone else was frantically looking for him). She knew that Ichigo was all right, and that was the end of it. She didn't even say anything to Orihime about her not telling Rukia where Ichigo was. (It's like she approved of thier secret rendezvous :lol: ) Once she knew, it was all about her and Orihime going to train in SS

Rukia, Orihime, Renji, and Ichigo are the only ones on the roof at this time (well, Pyon is there too) I'm pretty sure, and since Renji probably already knows about the inner hollow like Rukia does, I thought was was quite sweet how Rukia automatically assumed that Orihime knew (or didn't care that Orihime would hear such "secret knowledge"), since she just charged into telling off Ichigo about his inner hollow.


This last one though, is the best indication that Rukia has always known that Ichigo and Orihime were meant to be need each other^_^

I think the first thing we should all ask ourselves is "How the heck did she know?!" It's seriously strange that the first thing Rukia does once she comes back (after bringing sunshine!Ichigo back from emo!Ichigo's graveyard) after NOT being in the human world, is takes Ichigo to see Orihime. That just says it all right there, pretty much^_^ LOL, what are best friends for, right? They help us out when we can't seem to get the right words to say out to the person it's most important to tell^^ AWW! YAYS! Promise time!!! Rukia sure knows an intimate moment when she sees one! She was in the middle of walking away from the couple, after all. ^_^ If you don't believe me, look at the position Rukia is in when Orihime thanks and welcomes her. She was in front of Hime when Ichigo was confessing his undying love promising to protect Orihime, walked away, and then faced Orihime's back when Hime said her gratitude. And thus concludes the tender moment! Just look at that tender smile Rukia and Orihime share I do wonder though...what the heck is Ichigo doing???

5) I'm also quite convinced that this was when Byakuya (and Renji) figured it out as well. Can you imagine, Byakuya helping Rukia playing matchmaker? XD Priceless.

6) Anywho, When Rukia plays matchmaker, and this IS an inevidable event ( :lol!: ) she's going to need a helper. Since she and Renji already tagteamed Ichigo, TWICE at that, he's the perfect candidate for helping her out with her mischievous plans. ;D

The first time we see this happen is right after Rukia comes back from Soul Society.

The second time is when Ichigo leaves for Hueco Mundo, and Renji/Rukia decide to teach him a lesson about Nakama.

7) And you know Renji will do anything for his beloved. He already pays close attention to Rukia's drawings as it is. I'm sure he'll be happy to see what plot bunnies Rukia has in store for Ichigo and Orihime. >D

Great observation, as expected from EternalDream!

Another scene I wanted you to add was from Chapter 239, where Rukia downright refuses captain Yamamoto and Renji steps in for Ichigo, he's got a very I-know-all-about-it smile on his face.
Also, that rooftop scene, I never looked at it that way before, you've really pointed out a good detail there. Going back to that chapter, I've also noticed that right before Rukia thanks Orihime, the panel shows Orihime looking towards a distance (probably looking for Ichigo)

Oh, and I love the Tag-team banner!! :)
